Sont ici regroupées différentes façons de concevoir le climat en sciences humaines et sociales. Comment se définit-il pour les uns et les autres ? Le climat des géographes est-il le même que celui des économistes ? Quelles méthodes sont mobilisées pour l'étudier dans des textes par les littéraires ou dans des sols par les archéologues ? Résolument pluridisciplinaire, cet ouvrage aborde une palette d'approches, d'épistémologies et de méthodes pour concevoir le climat par discipline. Il vise à montrer l'intérêt des multiples cultures disciplinaires dans les enjeux climatiques contemporains
Auteurs :Docteur en géographie, Meute Metzger est chercheur postdoctoral à l'université de Lausanne, au sein de l'Institut de géographie et durabilité. Il est membre du Centre interdisciplinaire de recherche sur la montagne et enseignant-chercheur à l'Ecole de la nature et du paysage (Blois). Il travaille sur les risques environnementaux en combinant approches historiques et géographiques. Il s'intéresse également aux représentations du climat dans les oeuvres iconographiques dont la peinture.
