Passé entre les humains et le monde, jadis laissé hors-jeu par le contrat social, le Contrat naturel octroie une dignité juridique à la nature et définit les devoirs de l'humanité envers elle.
Auteur Professeur à Stanford University, membre de l'Académie française, Michel Serres (1930-2019) est l'auteur de nombreux essais philosophiques et d'histoire des sciences, notamment Les Cinq Sens, C'était mieux avant ! et Petite Poucette, largement salués par la presse et le public.
