Cosmetology is an ancient art that is currently being given pride of place in our society. But the benefits for dogs and cats are still a well-kept secret. Yet, there is a legitimate expectation on the part of the owners that their companion has a beautiful, silky coat and healthy skin. Dr Emmanuel Bensignor is a veterinarian, specialist in veterinary dermatology, former Professor of Dermatology at Alfort Veterinary School. He is a graduate of the European College of Veterinary Dermatology with a specialist degree in veterinary dermatology. He is a corresponding member of the Académie Vétérinaire [French Veterinary Academy]. He practises in veterinary clinics and hospitals in Paris, Nantes and Rennes.
